Printers are listed here because ExpLAN Computers Ltd have released drivers to facilitate their use under RISCOS.
Later models cannot readily be driven under RISCOS due to lack of functionality within !Printers itself. This limits the available resolutions and does not provide adequate status/error feedback to the user due to the printers themselves having no inbuilt error light or buzzer.
Users requiring newer models of printer for RISCOS should first check if adequate drivers exist.
Canon BJC-3000 /S400
A4, 180-720dpi, colour. Up to 100gm paper with top-fed sheet feeder of up to 100 sheets.

Canon BJC-6200 /S450 & BJC-6100
A4, 180-720dpi, colour; 1440x720dpi black. Up to 100gm paper with top-fed sheet feeder of up to 100 sheets.
BJC6100 has card-feed up to 550gm/m2 weight.

Canon BJC-6500 /S4500: A3 inkjet
The BJC-6500 /S4500 is the A3 derivative of the popular BJC-6000 series and uses the same cartridges with 4 separate ink-tanks.

Canon BJS-800
For the serious photo-enthusiast and graphic artist.
A4, 1200dpi, colour. Up to 120gm photo-paper or glossy-card with top-fed sheet feeder of up to 100 sheets.
The BJS-800 is a photo-real printer and uses a dedicated 6-colour (hexachrome) ink system. This is also adequate for printing captions, but not ideal for ordinary text documents.

NB The RISCOS driver supplied with this printer was originally developed by Photodesk Ltd and is shipped under licence. It does not use the standard Acorn !Printers system.
